Now that release day has come and gone... I want to know what you think so far! I know it might still be a little early to get a full consensus and review on Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World from some of you but I'd love to know who's already grabbed their Wii controllers and have been playing till the wee hours of dawn (pun intended 
).

I started over the weekend, but as the Wii is at home, I can't get to it til I go back this weekend. Can't wait to fire it back up though!
I've only had it for about a week and it's pretty fun so far...I just wish I had more time to play it. XD School likes to get in the way of game time. Good thing about Tales games is that you can play with other people. XD I haven't played a game with my brother for a while, so it's pretty cool.
My excitement for this game is nearly nonexistent (battles look alright but everything else looks meh, not to mention what they did to Hien) so I'm not rushing to buy it. I'll probably get it sometime next month or for xmas just because it's a Tales game and I feel obligated to play it.
I'm having way too much fun with this game XD I'm already getting towards the end of chapter 8 and I'm only like 26 hours in, doing quests and anything. Of course, I'm a bit stuck now trying to defeat Alice and Decus, but that won't be too much longer. I was planning on playing most of the game over Thanksgiving break, but lo and behold, I got most of it done over my birthday weekend XD It works~! I was using the game to teach a friend of mine to play, too~!
I have enjoyed the game so far. :) IDK why but collecting monsters is more interesting than I expected. I like seeing what kind of stuff they can evolve into. lol It reminds me of Digimon in that sense.

I fell in love with this game. Another great storyline! Also great improvement in the battles! :D

haha! I KNEW this quest was coming soon XD Im still working my way through Vesperia, so Ive only done the beginning of Dawn XP My impressions of the game's beginning are a tad discouraged, but I know the game will become a marvelous journey [4rm what ive seen in trailers/vids and such].
And yea! I'll put my smile on in the coming days :D [i'll even pose next to my dawn poster XD or even my tv while the anime op is playing! :D]
I'm in the middle of Chapter 5 now, & I'm enjoying the game very much. Battles are a LOT of fun & the whole monster collecting bit is better then I thought it would turn out. Emil is by far the most fun character I've used in battle in the series to date.
The new characters are pretty enjoyable and the story's got enough pull to keep me interested...though I'm still waiting for it to hit its full stride like it did in the original & Abyss...we'll see.
Ack, can't do this quest. I lack the game becasue I lack a Wii...anybody feeling charitable and willing to me thier ToS-R game and Wii :p j/k of course.
well it is quite possibly my second favorite game to come out in the past 3 years. i love the characters and its just grand. such great recreations of the scenery and all the old stuff like mentions of Desians and such. i just love it.

And my copy is still in the mail, so I have yet to play it. Not that I'm saddened by this fact though.
I'm really surprised with how good the game is. It improves on the original ToS in nearly every aspect (except maybe for the original voices and customizing the human characters), and I would have to say reviewers were extremely harsh for a game that does so many things right.
If you're a fan of the original ToS, this is definitely a must-buy for the fan service.

I'm around chapter 5 and I'm loving this game. I didn't think I would like it as much as I did (and this was my top wanted game), but I gave the game too little credit.
I can't believe the reviewers who gave the game a 6. -_- Sure, it's not perfect, but it's a lot of fun and deserved a much higher score than that.
I got the game launch day and have already finished it. It was glorious! That been said, i found the monster catching mechanic to be a little weak. While it did add a LOT of depth to the overall experience, it just didn't have the refinement and polish that i have come to expect from the series.
The dialog between characters is phenominal. I truly believed that if a real person was in that situation, they could/would answer like that. Nicely done!
T_T I don't have the game yet... I will get it this coming friday though.... :D

I've been playing this game on my best friend's Wii (thank you Karl~), and I've been playing it only for Alice lol... XD
I bought it, but haven't played it much due to me getting sick.
(coughs and sneezes) I'm borrowing my bro's Wii, so I'm trying not to touch the Wiimote until I feel a bit better.
Been playing this game the day I got it I really love the story and I've been playing it all night on my days off one time I feel asleep while playing.
I've inly played it on friday, saturday evening and monday evening and have about 18 hours playtime XD It gets addicitng after awhile, though i think the first one is better.

Emil's character is freaking AMAZING i love how he swiches from Ratatosk Mode & Back o His Normal Self,Im On Ch6 its so good i cant stop playing it!!!!

It was a good game but I hate the ending I guess I just don't like sad endings like in this game.
^Did you get the normal ending or bad ending? You can try to go for the good ending next playthrough (it'll probably satisfy you more if you want it to be happier)
Is there two endings if there is please tell me how do I get the happy ending.
I like the game. I am a bit bummed about some things though- I really miss roaming the field and map for battles. I also noticed that you can't get gald every time.

I beat it in three days pretty much. I really hope Vesperia has more play time... because I was disappointed in how short this game was :( The story was nice though ^.^ and Tenebrae is like... one of my favorite characters EVER! XD haha. He's so awesome. I've also been playing through FF8 and FF9 lately as well so I haven't really done the 2nd playthrough yet. I don't have the money for wii-mote bettery charger ATM ^^;;
